The name "Marina Caccia All'Anatra" translates from Italian to Duck Hunting Marina, which only seems appropriate for a Chesapeake. "Marina" is a wonderful girl with a lot of enthusiasm for everything it seems. She has a very nice front (with a white #1 on her chest), rear, second thigh, a thick coat, and beautiful movement. Her temperament is amazing just like her parents, a loving disposition. Marina and her mother are probably tied as the sweetest Chessie's we've ever owned. She has excelled in the show ring, hunt tests, hunting, obedience, agility, and as a great companion!
Marina achieved her Junior and Senior Hunter titles, and her CD in Obedience. She made her debut in agility Feb. 2013 with a qualifying score of 100! This lead to earning her NA & NAJ agility titles, and she is still running agility at the age of 11 1/2, mainly for enjoyment. She achieved her conformation championship in June 2013 by earning two majors in one weekend, and capped off her title with a 4 point major while going Best of Breed (over specials) / BOW / WB / Best Bred By / Bred By Group 1 placement at an American Chesapeake Club supported entry! That is certainly an impressive way to finish. Without really intending on it, she earned her Grand CH title as well. She made significant progress with ease while spot specialing her for fun, so we gladly continued until the title was achieved.
